Quick Updates.....
Last night's party......not much better than the New Years Eve affair. Slightly better turnout, but all in all (sorry Oscar), pretty dull. The next time Oscar has a party, he needs to enlist a party planner or something. Even the drinks were weak......at least if you're buzzed, it doesn't much matter how boring the party is 'cause the party's going on in your head!! :-)
Jose asked me this morning if his sister, Iris, could move in with us. Iris is the mother of Oscar, Eva, and Ana (the gay kids). Eva isn't gay.....she's married with two kids. Except for Oscar, everyone lives in our neighborhood. Ana has been living with her mother in a two-bedroom house near us, but has recently decided that she needs to move out so that she can pursue her women. She doesn't feel comfortable bringing them home with her mother there. I understand that.....Jose is quite angry with her though. And he's angry because Iris is in Section 8 housing and if Ana moves out, Iris loses the house. Stipulations on the number of people there or something. Iris watches Eva's children 5 days a week while Eva and her husband Curtis are at work. Eva and Curtis are trying to buy a new house (larger house) and once they acquire it, Iris will move in with them. In the meantime, Iris is going to lose her housing. Iris is older, in her 50's (Jose is the youngest of 9), and very quiet and responsible. I have no problem with her living with us for awhile. I usually don't like people staying with us, not even for a few days, but I like Iris a lot and wouldn't mind it. Evidently Ana is moving in with her brother, Oscar, now......we found that out last night. I doubt that Iris will want to move in with us, but it's nice for Jose to offer.
Jose is off with Barbara today (where else?), helping her get the rest of her stuff moved and attempting to clean that pit they had been living in. I'm glad that he didn't ask me to help them. I probably should have offered to help, but then I wouldn't get the house to myself today! Or be able to do all this blogging!! Or drink margaritas and blast the stereo!!! I just love it when Jose leaves for the day!!!! Calm down, Steve......off to clean the house......this may be the last post for awhile......enjoy!!!!!!!!!!
